It’s been a busy start to 2022 as the time came to tackle the Google Ads Certifications, in preparation for the new Google Partners Programme and requirements launching in February.

Google Partners is a marketing programme for agencies and individual Google Ads Consultants, providing tools, resources and support to enable growth and help businesses succeed.

I’m pleased to announce that I sat and passed 5 exams, covering all the core pillars of Google Ads including…

– Google Ads Search Certification
– Google Ads Display Certification
– Google Ads Measurement Certification
– Google Ads Video Certification
– Shopping Ads Certification

Passing the certifications is one of three requirements needed to be eligible for partner status. Google Ads Consultants are also required to meet performance expectations, with a minimum optimisation score of 70%, and to be maintaining a 90-day ad spend of $10,000 USD across managed accounts.

What Google Partner Status Means & Why It’s Important
Like in most industries, there are individuals and companies offering Google Ads services with very limited experience and capability. The Google Partners Program offers a recognised accreditation and confirmation or demonstrable growth, Google Ads skills and expertise with certifications.

Google Partner status should be the first due diligence check for businesses looking to partner with PPC consultants or agencies.

Benefits For My Clients
There are a number of shared benefits Google Partner status unlocks, including market insight reports, advanced product training, account performance reports and account technical support. Of biggest benefit to businesses new to Google Ads, in February 2022 Google are increasing the promotional credits for new client accounts in a Google Partner managed account, with up to £400 of free advertising credit available.
