About Me

Hello there, I’m Tom Holder, a North Devon based freelance PPC consultant.

I took the leap into self-employment after 2 years of juggling fulltime employment with evening and weekend freelance consultancy. A growing client base coupled with a burning ambition to grow a business led me to leave the security of my job and succeed alone.

Where It All Started…

Shortly after returning from travelling the world, I was given an opportunity to start a career in digital marketing, as a PPC executive at the UK’s leading travel marketing agency.

Over 4 years I “completed my apprenticeship” and became a key member of the digital team, working my way through promotions to a senior PPC role.

I was responsible for the agency’s high profile and high spending clients, ensuring a proactive approach to PPC management and delivering quality results against set KPI and business goals.

I trained new members and was actively involved in evolving the team, improving productivity and creating best practices in account structure and optimisation that transformed client results.

More Recently…

My most recent role was in-house at one the largest holiday providers in the South West, John Fowler Holidays.

I was head-hunted and offered to the role of PPC & SEO Manager, which offered me valuable experience working client-side, in an in-house marketing team.

Over 2 1⁄2 years at John Fowler Holidays I increased PPC revenue by 180%, Organic by 94% and All Online revenue by 128%.

Away from the desk, you’re likely to find me in the Holte End at Villa Park, walking the fairways (scouring the rough) at Saunton Golf Club, or out with my camera capturing the stunning landscape around North Devon.
